We celebrate important members of our USM community – our grandparents – at our annual Grandparents and Special Friends Day. After a welcome reception, grandparents are invited to spend time with their grandchild or grandchildren in their classrooms. Students are so proud to show off their loved ones – don't miss out on the excitement of this special day!

Varsity Club Announces Athletic Hall of Fame, Calls for Nominations
The Varsity Club is pleased to recognize generations of outstanding athletic
tradition at University School of Milwaukee and our predecessor schools through the establishment of the Athletic Hall of Fame.
All members of the USM and predecessor school community are invited to nominate a student-athlete, coach, team, or distinguished contributor for the inaugural class. Nominations will be accepted through December 1. Classes will be inducted on a biennial basis, beginning in 2015.
Save the Date: The inaugural Varsity Club Hall of Fame Induction Banquet will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2015.

Visit Holiday Shops at USM
At Holiday Shops, a variety of shops and boutiques from around the country offer shoppers a diverse array of items, from the everyday to the extravagant.
This fun and pleasant shopping experience hosted by the USM Parents' Association is conveniently held at USM, Thursday, October 30 - Saturday, November 1. All shops generously donate a percentage of the money they earn during Holiday Shops back to USM, making this a premiere fundraising event.

USM Celebrates 50 Years
University School of Milwaukee was formed in 1964 when three highly respected independent schools merged. USM's predecessor schools, Milwaukee University School, Milwaukee Country Day, and Milwaukee Downer Seminary each brought its own rich traditions and histories. This 2014-2015 school year, USM celebrates the 50th anniversary of the merger of those three schools. But we make special note of the fact that our School's history truly dates back over 160 years to the founding of our oldest predecessor school.

Five decades following that historic merger, we celebrate how far we have come. USM is widely recognized as the finest preprimary through secondary school in Wisconsin, and one of the top college preparatory schools in the nation. Everyone in our School community – students, alumni, parents, grandparents, parents of alumni, and current and former faculty and staff – plays an important role in the continued success of USM.

Students Show Off Costumes in Masquerade March
USM's Preprimary Program and Lower School students showed off their festive costumes at the All-School Masquerade March on Thursday, October 23. The young students were paired with Upper School students, and accompanied by a spooky soundtrack, as parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, and other members of the USM community cheered them on. The Middle School Circle, decorated with pumpkins and other festive items, served as a scenic backdrop for the event on a crisp, clear morning.
