Welcoming Steve Hancock, Head of School

Following Laura Fuller's retirement, Steve Hancock became USM's ninth head of school on July 1, 2020. Hancock has spent his first three weeks familiarizing himself with the school community and meeting with school administrators. USM's Tower Project Program Turns 5
The Tower Project at University School of Milwaukee embraces a simple but very powerful idea: that students direct their own learning, based on their own interests. When it was implemented in the 2015–16 school year, teachers knew they were launching a unique program. Today, it’s clear that the program is here to stay. Click here for the full story covered in the Spring / Summer issue of USM Today.
Send Us Your News!
We love to hear from our alumni—and your classmates love to hear from you, too! Please submit a class note for us to share in USM Today. Whether personal or professional news, stories of your adventures, or a favorite memory from your USM days, no news is too small.
Regional Council Program
As a key part of the Alumni Association, the Regional Council Program provides the opportunity for alumni residing outside of Wisconsin to connect with the school and other alumni in meaningful ways. Regional councils are led by volunteer council chairs, who welcome new alumni to a region, host events in their area, and collaborate with the Alumni office for local engagement opportunities. Currently, there are regional councils serving the greater Chicago and Durham, N.C. areas (you can join these groups in USM Connect). If you are interested in establishing a council in your area and/or acting as a regional council chair, please contact the Alumni office at alumni@usmk12.org.
Our Common Bond Campaign Surpasses Fundraising Goal
Thanks to your generosity, we raised $30,673,264 to support the priorities of the Our Common Bond campaign. This total is 13%above the campaign’s $27 million working goal. It is thanks to our donors supporting USM’s culture of generosity that we continue to deliver the outstanding educational experience that defines USM while supporting our students and faculty, always, and especially in these unprecedented times. Throughout USM’s almost 170-year history, the school community has unified together to overcome challenges, staying true to its guiding principles. Should you wish to participate in supporting and affirming USM’s strengths, please consider a thoughtful contribution in support of our students, our families, our faculty, our school, our excellence at usmk12.org/usmfund.
